Hello, and welcome to House of Nina Anne! I created this brand to share my passion for creating beautiful embroideries, exploring new and exciting thread art techniques, and helping preserve this timeless art form that has been woven into cultures around the world for generations.

As a Vietnamese-American, my love for textiles and thread art began with my mother, who lovingly made clothes from scratch for my sister and me while we were growing up. Some of my earliest memories are tied to fabric, thread, and the quiet creativity that comes with making something by hand. Watching her create taught me that textiles are more than just materials. They carry stories, tradition, care, and artistry.

Over the years, I explored many forms of fiber art, including knitting, crocheting, and, of course, embroidery. Creativity has always been a central part of my life, and after attending art school, I found myself searching for a medium that felt deeply personal beyond painting and drawing. Eventually, that journey led me back to thread art, and, ultimately, to thread painting, where I discovered a beautiful balance between illustration, texture, color, and craftsmanship.

What I love most about embroidery is its ability to slow us down in a fast-moving world. Every stitch is intentional. Every piece becomes a small work of art created through patience, practice, and creativity. Thread painting, especially, allows me to blend my background in fine art with my love for textiles in a way that feels both meaningful and deeply connected to my heritage.

Through House of Nina Anne, I hope to share original embroidery patterns, approachable tutorials, creative inspiration, and the many lessons I’ve learned through years of experimenting with thread art. Whether you are completely new to embroidery or have been stitching for years, I want this space to feel welcoming, inspiring, and encouraging.

I’ll also be sharing my favorite supplies, behind-the-scenes looks into my creative process, custom sentimental embroidery pieces, and tips that have helped me grow as an artist. More than anything, I hope to build a community of embroidery lovers who can learn from one another, share their work, and continue preserving and reimagining this beautiful traditional art form for future generations.
